Makelight Workshops - meet the students

When I started running photography workshops a few years ago I didn't have an idea how much inspiration my students would give me. I thought it would be me doing all the inspiring, after all that's what people are paying for. But every time I teach I leave feeling more inspired and the community of students that is building around my Makelight workshops continually makes me smile.

I thought it would be lovely to share some of this inspiration and community with you, so here is the first of my 'meet the students' series, which begins with the lovely Emma Harris who came to my workshop in May and has wowed me with what she has done with her photography since.

Emma writes a beautiful blog called A Quiet Style and she has a gorgeous Instagram stream. The difference in her Instagram images from before she came to Makelight and after has kept me smiling for the past few weeks. I am one delighted teacher and I am also so excited to see that Photography is now part of Emma's blog focus.

In June a ran a little photography and styling project for my Makelight students in our Facebook group. Photograph one thing in three ways. Here are Emma's beautiful entries.
