The Crafty Fox Boxes 4 and 5

I have now been sending out Crafty Fox Boxes for five months, which is really quite exciting. Somehow I've managed to keep it all going even with the arrival of baby Rudi, so I am pretty proud of myself. However, I am also very happy to tell you that Marie Gardom has joined the Fox Box team and we have some very lovely plans for the future of the Fox Boxes.

Marie and I met at one of Lynne's Creative Meet-ups and I was so pleased when Marie agreed to design something for one of the Crafty Fox Boxes (in box 5 below). I was even happier when she said yes to joining the Fox Box team!

Here's a little bit about Marie:

Up until last July, my job involved learning design, developing & coaching people for a big corporate (Rio Tinto).  I was first attracted to it because they had weekly yoga classes!

In past lives I've run large scale b2b events on cruise ships, and once trained as a yoga teacher.

I love vintage, & reinventing what might otherwise be discarded, like beautiful catalogues or an old lamp.

My latest crushes are neon, Japanese stationery, and macrame pot holders.

I adore sending and receiving mail, which has turned into an etsy addiction because makers are the best pen pals! ! I'd probably turn a tax form into happy mail if I could.

Working on fox boxes is like taking all the things I love and turning it into a job, I couldn't be more excited.

That last sentence sums up why I set up the Fox Boxes in the first place, so I am super confident that Marie is going to be a fantastic addition to the team.

The beautiful brooch kits above are made by the talented Vicky Trainor and appeared in the April Crafty Fox Box, which was our fourth box. Vicky has a selection of beautiful things to make as well as lots of wonderful haberdashery treasures in the Linen Garden. The April box is a bit of a blur as baby Rudi was born at the beginning of that month and she was about 3 weeks old when the boxes went out. I know I have more photographs of that box but haven't got around to doing anything with them, so please forgive me. I'll get them up on our Facebook page when I have a moment. This is startup life with a young family reality!

The images above are from the 5th Crafty Fox Box, which was sent out at the end of May. It contained things to make designed by Marie (those super cute envelopes!) and the lovely Caroline of 91 Magazine and Patchwork Harmony. Caroline has blogged about her sweet vintage cigarette card garland and sparkly cake toppers, so please pop over and see how to make those if you'd like to join in some crafting fun.

Box number six is being designed by the super talented artist and blogger Davina Drummond. There are still a couple of places left, so please sign-up if you'd like to receive all the things you need to make something lovely.

The Crafty Fox Boxes cost £16 (+ £4 p&p) per month.
