Startup Spotlight : The Linen Garden

I have been a fan of Vicky Trainor's beautiful work for a few years now, so when I heard of her new venture, the Linen Garden, I was very excited about its launch.

Last week I placed my first (of many I am sure) order and was very happy when the little parcel arrived so beautifully packaged. And just look what was inside:

Such pretty things to get crafting with. I will definitely be popping back to the Linen Garden very soon.

Here are some words from the lovely Vicky herself:

As a maker of The Vintage Drawer I have become an increasing hoarder of linen, thread, beads, lace, fabric.  Drawers and Tall Boys are full of antique, vintage, retro findings, some damaged that are ready to re-claim and use, some just bought to look at on a rainy day, some purchased for research, and mostly collections bought because I have a ‘haberdashery habit’, yes I am addicted to anything that has a warp and weft or was created using a needle or bobbin.

I affectionately call my studio The Linen Garden, which is the title of my blog/journal, and this has now developed into a beautiful antique and vintage inspired ‘haberdashery haven’.  A place for makers, potterers, crafters and creative souls to find and gather interesting materials for their work/products/projects.  From ribbons to potter and sew packs, Edwardian dress inserts to cut flowers..an endless supply of inspiring ‘makings’.  The Linen Garden is ‘re-planted’ every two to three weeks, depending on what has been sourced that month and this will keep the shop evolving and changing with new and exciting materials for you to re-claim, re-love and re-make into a decorative piece of fabulousness.

Every month Vicky will hold a giveaway, for ever purchase made your name will be entered into a flower tin.  So if you buy 7 items your name will be entered 7 times.  You can pop back to buy at any time and this process will be repeated.  So this month you can win a pretty sewing case/book, hand made in Vicky’s studio.  The winner will be announced on her blog on Valentines Day.
