Preparing for the Blogcademy, London

This coming weekend I will be attending the Blogcademy in London and I've been busy getting my kit together. It's a two day blogging course extravaganza! I am very, very excited about having two whole days to focus on my blog and be inspired by three amazing bloggers.

I have known Kat for a few years now and watched her blog and brand grow and develop. I know that she has learnt so much along the way. She's an inspiration and I am really looking forward to hearing her talk. I have followed Shauna and Gala through Kat for a while and know that they are going to be equally inspiring. This weekend is going to be jam-packed with new knowledge, inspiration and enthusiasm about and for blogging.

I was so excited when I heard they were coming to London as I watched their first course in New York from a distance and really wished I could have been a part of it. I have to admit though that I wasn't completely sure the course was for me. Kat, Shauna and Gala are all super cool. I know a lot of the people coming on the course will also be super cool. As a 36 year old mother of 3, with a fourth on the way, I'm not really very cool! Kat probably laughed when I asked her if despite this lack of coolness, I'd still be able to attend. She did feature our wedding on her blog though, so that must count for something!

Anyway, I've stopped worrying about the cool thing. I've stopped thinking about what to wear. But I have started to think about where I want my blog to be in 12 months time and how this course will be able to help me get there. I don't want to reveal too much about that right here but I'm sure that this weekend will give me a lot to think about and no doubt I will come home with a huge to-do list.

If you are going too please do say hello on Twitter (@emilyquinton) or on the Facebook group, and if you spot me there then do say hello! I'm 28 weeks pregnant, so I'll be pretty easy to spot. And I will have my pretty blog name badge with me {made by the fabulous Vicky Trainor of the Linen Garden} too.

Here's to the weekend and Blogcademy 2!
